Phosphate sludge disposal problem

December 14, 2008

We have a regular zinc phosphating process for an automobile industry. Sludge generation is also not abnormal; it is around 180 gms per sq. m . Bath temperature is 50 =/- 2 degree C . But as production rate is so high, sludge generation is also very high.
It takes huge cost to dispose that sludge and we sell it to authorised dealers with per Kg rate .
Are there any good solutions to minimise this disposal and reduce cost .

Dear friend,
Zinc phosphating sludge is a waste we generate, is a hazardous waste. How do you dispose it?
Do you know any purposeful usage for it. Can it be RECYCLED? If you have any idea please share it.
