I need to find info on Cadmium vs yellow zinc

Your question is the stuff books are written about. If you could state what you are looking for, I am sure myself and/or many others will give you suggestions.

Do be advised that cadmium plating is not approved for many applications in the European Union and places in the Far East (Japan, etc.). Cadmium is considered environmentally harmful, but zinc with hexavalent yellow (the old fashioned "yellow zinc") is too.

If you have a corrosion requirement or a specific application then the alternatives can be chosen wisely.
