Paint stripper and aluminum

I have an aluminum - frame mountain bicycle. Is store - bought paint stripper alright to apply to the frame to remove some unwanted text?

You can use only solvent based paint strippers! Hope it helps and good luck!

...because caustic strippers will attack the aluminium as well as the paint.
