Anodizing, is it food safe?
Hi all, I have a waffle maker that has the teflon coating worn off. I would like to know if a hard anodize coating would be better and if it would be food safe?
thanks,

According to who, Sidnay? Organizations like the FDA feel that both anodizing and Teflon are safe. But there are those who believe that the first is safe but not the second, and vice versa, and that neither is safe.
Unless your waffle maker is truly exceptional, though, you'll probably find that refinishing it is more expensive than replacing it. Good luck.
