Why does the hot dipped tin coated copper wire blackens @ 155 C ?
I doing hot dip tin plating for copper wire. When the plated wire is kept in oven @ 155 C for 8 Hrs, The wire turns blackish, which is not desired.

Hi,
Sounds like migration of the tin into the copper. Can you apply a thicker coating?
