Electroplating of Gold Over Aluminium Alloy

I would like to know what are the properties (electrical, thermal, mechanical etc) of plating gold over aluminium alloy? The specification of gold plate is as IAW MIL-G-25024, Type 1, Grade A, Class 00 (0.00002" Min THK) over electroless Nickel IAW MIL-C-26074, Class 4 (0.0002" min THK)...Also what will be the alternative for the gold plating which have the same properties?

For my nickel opinion, that little gold is a drop in the bucket to the properties of the aluminum. The biggest thing that it will do is to reduce the corrosion or oxidation of the aluminum.
