Electrolysis of Copper Weathervane and Lead Flashing
Would a copper weathervane fitted to the ridge of a slated roof of a house effect the lead flashings?

Hi, Jean. Galvanic corrosion only occurs if there is a metallic connection between the dissimilar metals. However, the green corrosion salts of copper frequently run down and stain things, and if they run onto the lead, it would seem that they can pit it (based on book knowledge, never actually seen it).
