How to improve on corn cob tumbling?

September 11, 2008

Just reading your material and was wondering whether you can suggest as to what other wet media (if any ) I can add to the dry corn media to get an even brighter finish on silver chains and rings

I have a Lyman Turbo Pro 1200.

Kind Regards Rhys

Most polishing dry organic products are treated with rouge. Some in a dry state, some liquid. Normally selection is red for gold green for silver. You can add more rouge to your media; however, if it gets too moist, it will stick and not perform properly.

Besides time, the machine has a lot to do with the end results. Meaning the more movement of the mass, the greater the pressure and heat is built up. All these are a plus. All of this is controlled by the eccentric and closed/tight top cover. If you are reloading or a hobbyist, your machine is just OK.
