Grade of aluminum cathodes for type II Anodizing?

Hi I am a owner of a small plating jobshop and I am setting up a small type II ano line and I have been told to use only 6063 T6 aluminum what about 6061?

Use any wrought alloy. Psuedo scientist still recommend 6063. My client in Kansas used 1/6" thick 6061, 3' x 6", and it lasted over 4 years in 180 gm/L acid, then they replaced it with 1/4" thick 6061. The call out for 6063 is an overrated commercial myth.
