Seeking to repaint gold jewelry
August 19, 2008
I have a collection of old gold filled and gold plated jewelry and seeks to refinish the pieces with a gold solution/paint/liquid gold. I purchased some so-called "gold paint for jewelry" at the local hardware store in SF and was disappointed with the results.
I would appreciated any feed back respecting this issue.
Many thanks,

Hi, Maryalyce. As you have discovered, painting is not the same thing as gold electroplating. There is a 'liquid gold' available to consumers you could try. A plating shop can replate this jewelry for you though.
