Black chrome radiator hoses
Would it be possible to use black chrome paint on chrome braided radiator hoses to get a hyper black finish/Would it retain it's shiny finish?

Hi, James. I think these hoses are stainless steel rather than chrome. It should be possible for some vendor to offer black stainless steel braids, but I don't know if anyone does. I think you will have trouble applying a shiny chrome-look paint to these items, but maybe the vendors or a reader will offer encouragement. I don't think the temperature is a major problem since it won't be over about
225 F. if the hose does not touch the engine.
