Shoe bronzing question

hi :) my name is Sherry. I'd like to know in shoe bronzing how the shoes shoud be hard what should I have to use to make shoes hard ? if anybody can help me I will be really thankful
my English is not so good I hope someone understands :) my bad English

The company which does the bronzing (actually copper plating) will seal and harden the shoes prior to plating. Normally they will use shellac or lacquer.

You do not need to do anything.
