Gold plated parts get a frosty look to them
My name is Larry I live in Waynesboro Va.I am a electroplater for a small business.My question is as follows.I am learning to Gold Plate.I notice when I gold shields that the inside looks very frosty.I would like to know what is causing this to happen. Thank You L. Fisher

Hi, Larry. Sorry, but I don't understand your terminology: "I notice when I gold shields the inside looks very frosty". Are you saying that you gold plate police badges and the back side becomes frosty?
