3" diam. disc needed to cover old key hole in a gate ON the Atlantic Ocean coast.
What material should I use so that it won't rust?
thanks.

Hi, Sylvia. Type 316 stainless steel would be ideal. But what is the gate made of? Whu not make it of that?

Sylvia,
I would suggest stainless steel as being the simplist and probably the easiest to locate. Have you considered using plastic i.e. PVC

Ideally, you say I can use 316 stainless steel. Here is a picture of what I speak...the knob on this gate is aluminum.
what are my chances of using the disc of aluminum.......
where would I find a 3" disc in 316 stainless steel? I intend to have the letter G engraved on it. (I need two discs.) thanks so much for working with me on this....
