We have excellent results with a lacquer based product called Miccroshield. I have used the pvc products, and get much better results from the Microshield. The distibutor we get it from is Xytek.

One of the easiest way could be using Wax. Usually these waxes are melted and applied on the place where anodising is not required and subsequently part is anodised. After anodising these waxes may be removed in hot water.
