Grout removal problem

I am looking for a product that can remove tile grout that cover my stone tiles. Thanks

Hi, Turk. This is easily done with muriatic acid this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] . Unfortunately, the fumes will ruin chrome, stainless steel, electrical terminals and a lot else. There are dozens of sad stories on this site of exactly that happening. The right thing to do about grout is to exercise the inhuman patience of wiping it away before it cures, although this may take over a dozen spongings.

The grout is already dried and I tried to remove the grout with a steel grinder; however, the color of the stone was discolored. Can I use a sandplaster to remove the grout without damaging the stone. Thanks

Hi, Turk. Once the grout dries there are no good solutions to my knowledge. I think you are limited to acid washing, but the potential corrosion consequences can be terrible. Use very good ventilation, do any mixing and dilution outside, and do everything you can to not splash the acid -- not just because of the droplets but because the "agitation" causes the acid to fume.
