Proper racking procedure for small springs

I have a small 200 amp system. I am new at this and only want to run my parts. I would like to know the best way to rack springs with wire diameters fron .040" to .250" with lengthes from 1" to 4".

Hi, Bernie. The usual way to rack springs for electrochemical processing is on pins at each end to slightly extend the spring to allow good electrical contact and to allow solution access where coils might touch when not under tension.

Electropolishing requires higher currents than most other electrochemical processes though, and I can't be sure that you can carry sufficient power through the spring wire; so it might be necessary to have multiple pins along the length of the spring, not just at the ends. There are rack manufacturers who can help you with the design. Good luck.
