Cleaning steel prior to paint
Hello,
We do not normally work with steel parts but we need to figure out how to clean parts made of AISI 4130 steel before paint.
They have been sand blasted. We have attempted to paint them black but are finding circular pits that look like they are not clean enough before paint.
Any ideas?
Thank-you in advance

Hi, Micheline. Blasting can produce a finish clean enough for electroplating, let alone painting. There may be something wrong with the execution, but the theory sounds okay.
