Painting cheap plastic kitchen sinks

We recently moved into a newer house, it has a white plastic sink, it is discoloured, plus a recent owner has put something on the drainer and it has coloured it. What king of paint can I use. I have painted garden chairs before quite successfully, A little worried about taking a chance, I really do not want to replace the sink at this time. Thanks for any help.

Joy,
The air-drying paints that you will be able to purchase will not stand up to the times your hubby drops the dinner plate or knives onto it when he washes up.
