Feasibility report in metal finishing

hi
I am student in a university I was asked to write a feasibility report on metal finishing. All I want is a rough estimate on what is like to own a business like your industry.the breakdown of establishing a metal finish company. Thank you

Agboola,
I posted an answer on this question in late April, but somehow it fell through the cracks. I think your best bet would be to request a phone interview with a list of detailed questions ready, from an owner of a reputable metal finishing shop. It would be more beneficial on your part, than getting your info. from an open forum. Be patient, shop owners today are very busy. Good Luck!

Operating a plating shop is a lot like practicing bleeding.
The only way a new plating shop will make it is if they hire qualified people and operate in an area where there is no qualified competition which allows you to charge a higher price. This is reasonable to a company that needs a higher quality service or a nearer (less time lost in shipping or less damage in shipping.)
The cost of plating in location "A" has little to do with the cost of plating in location "B" unless both are near a major manufacturing center.
