Insulation coating for CRCA steel

April 25, 2008

Sir,

I would like to have the insulation coating on CRCA metal enclosure for electronics application. I am considering using Powdercoating and can anybody suggest is there any alternative coating method available which gives insulation?

Regards,

Hello DINESH,

INSULATION?
I guest you are talking about electrical insulation.
There is an alternative using resins. They are widely utilised on insulating electrical components.
There are resins one component Oven curing) or two components (autocatalized or oven).

Hello Jose. Thank you.

Yes. it is for 24VAC electrical insulation. My design calls for metal enclosure which holds the PCB.

However, I am looking for a cost effective alternative to powder coating on to this metal enclosure..
