Welding Corten Steel

Hello I am a small steel contractor and I can get a contract which has some construction work in Corten steel, mainly welding sheets.
my question is; how do you weld in cor-ten steel?
what kind of electrodes are commonly used ?
can you apply Mig/Mag process or just electrodes?

Cor-Ten steel is a special type that contains copper. It is the copper that gives it the special colour seen with weathered material. You must weld Cor-Ten with Cor-Ten rods or you will create a galvanic couple that will rapidly corrode the container.

what will happen if the consumable contain more copper content ie:1.15% against to the recommended of 0.4-0.5% when you weld corten steel.

Has anyone stud welded to Corten material? Is it possible to weld onto new material or is there a surface coating?
