Stress relieve between stripping and cadmium plating?

We currently Cadmium plate numerous aircraft parts , Most of which do not call for a stress relieve in between stripping the cadmium and replating. However one of our specs calls for this to happen could someone please tell me if this really neccesary.

It depends how the stripping is done. If in cyanide solution, no hydrogen embrittlement should occur. If stripped in acid, hydrogen embrittlement is possible.

If any event, follow the specification.
