Henkel Spectrocolor

April 10, 2008

Good Morning!
I wondered if any one out there was familiar with or using an anodising process known as Spectrocolor (produced by Henkel) as I have read it is capable of producing a limitless range of electrolytic colours! Does this mean they would be colourfast?
I understand it is an expensive process to install but would appreciate any feedback you may have?

Ed. note: Readers who are familiar with the technology please try to respond in terms of the technology. This technical forum is about the technology, it is not about satisfaction or lack of satisfaction with any particular vendor. Thanks :-)

We currently use the Spectrocolor process (to my knowledge we are the sole agents in the UK)and whilst it is true to say it is possible to produce a range of electrolytic colours there are definitely problems with achieving consistency.
It would be really helpful for us to speak to anyother users of this site familiar with either this process or any similar electrolytic colouring process, to compare note etc...
