What type of paint will cover a zinc plated rack
We have a zinc plated rack that needs to be modified. It will be cut, soldered and then painted. Is there a certain type of paint that should be applied?

Virtually all zinc plated components are chromated, and chromated zinc is a pretty good paint base, so you will hopefully not have difficulty. But sometimes the chromate is too thick, or is a proprietary type to which paint doesn't stick well. In other words, I think that whether it will work well will depend more on the zinc plated component than on what type of paint you use. Good luck.

If you can not find it at a big box store, try a real paint store until you find one that has it.
