March 22, 2008 Hi Pavan, ![]() Freeman Newton [deceased] (It is our sad duty to advise that Freeman passed away April 21, 2012. R.I.P. old friend). The walkways can be fiberglass grating, Pavan -- many brands are available these days. The floor itself can be an epoxy or polyester high build chemical coating; again there are many brands, but floor coating specialists can help you make a good selection. An important thing to remember though, is that in 2008 the floors should be dry, not wet! Please see my on-line article "Plating Shops for the 90s and Beyond". Based on floors intended to be dry, and the use of modern coatings, I don't think there is any need for acidproof brick for flooring. ![]() Ted Mooney, P.E.
