Electroless Nickel Plating for Go/NoGo Gauge

I'm designing a go no-go gauge that has a requirement of high hardness and durability and corrosion resistance; the base metal is 4140 steel alloy; 1/4" thick material. I have been advised to use electroless nickel plating so that I can get a RC of approximately 60 with high corrosion resistance. The vendor suggested the plating did not provide a specific standard to follow. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to note on my drawings.

Try electrolytic Amorphous chromium plating or Chromium Nitride PVD Coating.
