E/C Question about the need for using a Thermo Incinerator

March 18, 2008

Hello
We currently have a E/C line in operatation at our plant in Clanton Alabama. We have a simular system at our sister plant in Germany that has turned there incinertor unit off. My plant manager is inquiring if it's also possible to turn off our incinerator as well or if there's any state regulatory issues with having to use an thermo incinerator with our E/C line?

Thank you for any feedback on this inquire.

Pete Farmer
EHS Manager - Clanton, Alabama

Too many abbreviations and acronyms for me to be sure what you are talking about, Pete. By E/C you mean that this is an electrocoating line? And by thermal incinerator you are referring to the burning of solvent vapors -- what some people would call an afterburner?
