Non-chrome pretreatment for aluminium

March 15, 2008

As a powder coating job shop interested in becoming more eco friendly we are keen to move out of hex chrome conversion coating for aluminium profiles. However every non chrome alternative we tried does not have any colour on the treated surface. This makes it difficult for our operators to know if the batch is properly treated or not.

Can any one share how this problem cam be overcome?

Thanks,

Dear Jothi Ramalingam

Non chromate coating solution is available. Which will give yellow colour as what you got with chromate coatings.
You can try.
