Must we do MPI/FPI on surface treated fasteners?
March 7, 2008
We are doing electroplating for aerospace grade articles. I would like to know whether it is advisable to carry out Magnetic Particle testing and Flauroscent penetrant testing of the items after electroplating (Cd, Hard Chrome, Zinc, Cu etc.)/ Conversion coating
(Zn Phosphating). The items are mainly Fasteners.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.
