Can't get mirror finish on hard chrome for dies used in manufacture of toys




We doing hard chrome on dies used for manufacturing of toys. We are presently using HENE chrome salt and HENE Addivtes 1 and 2. We want mirror finish but like in silver plating. We are unable to get that finish. Kindly give some solution for our problem.

There is a proper current density for any given temperature of the solution to get bright work.

For a mirror finish, it has to start out with a mirror finish.

Many mold makers do a series of diamond polish after chrome to get the desired micro finish. Labor intensive!
