THICKNESS PROBLEM FOR BRIGHT NICKEL PLATING
February 20, 2008
We are the platers in Bangalore.
For the electronic items am facing some thickness problem say if the reqt is 5-8 Microns after thickness testing it was showing 10-12 microns.
I had checked my thickness machine also but it was working
we don't no what's the reason.
I have undergone some analysis even though it was not OK.
Please give me the suggestion/Answer for this Question.

I don't understand, Rajesh. If the thickness is too much, don't plate for as long. You can verify the thickness through another instrument, microscopic cross-sectioning, or a Faraday's Law calculation based on the ampere-hours you are applying. Good luck.
