Amateur Electro-etching of Stainless Steel

I have read about a very successful amateur electrolytic etching process for Brass at: http://steampunkworkshop.com/electroetch.shtml

I am wanting to do the same thing with a Stainless Steel (probably Stainless Steel plated) flask.

This seems like it should be possible, is there anything I'm missing from a technical standpoint that would make this unfeasible. If not, what would be an appropriate solution to do the etching in?

Thanks,
Sean

Try very diluted aqua regia(4parts muriatic/one part nitric acid)-2% must be ok.HOPE IT HELPS AND GOOD LUCK!
