Pretreatment and powder coating for construction machines

Dear Sirs,
I would like to know the most suitable bath sequence for pretreatment of construction machine parts (excavators, backhoe loaders). Should we think of a dipping system, or spray washing?
Secondly, we are targeting to reach at leat 850-900 hours of salt spray resistance. Do we need to consider primer coating before powder top coating?

Thanks,

There is rarely a "right" answer because you must decide how much you are willing to spend. But for an industrial product like this I think shortcuts are out of order. I think you need a full zinc phosphate process followed by e-coating before powder coating. And some of your sheet metal could perhaps be galvanneal.

Pretreatment isn't your only worry, some of the big heavy parts could spend hours in the oven in order to cure properly.
