Pick-up on carbide tipped blades

My name is Jason Missimer from Shoemakersville ,Pa,I have been running a 5 head acme grinder with abrasive belts. We use a coolant called valcool 910 while running.Every time I put newly ground carbide tipped blades on within about 10 parts we get major pitting on the blades, I was recently put in somewhat charge of maintaining this machine, I'm 27 years old and like working this job very much but I cannot get these blades to stop pitting and causing scratches on a finished part, I've tried brass blades but the amount of parts we run they ware out faster then we can make them, any suggestions would be great, the type of steel we run is a 4130 grade steel tubing.

I would consult your coolant supplier for the operational parameters of the coolant you are using, Make sure the pH and other contaminants are well within range to prevent any kind of chemical or galvanic attack on the tooling while it is in production.

Additionally most suppliers will provide you free analysis on the solution just for using it in your shop.
