Designing ?
Don't try to re-invent the wheel.
Buy a standard chemical pump for this application. There are hundreds on the market. Any metal finishing supplier will advise you

First of two simultaneous responses --

Double diaphragm pumps with "Viton" contact media, Mag drive chemical pumps.

Chemical pumps are a commodity almost.

I wouldn't rig up anything. Buy a pump that will last you years if it is matched to the solution you are pumping.

Second of two simultaneous responses --

We do a lot of business in this field, we use Polypropylene material for all ferric applications in both metal finishing and water treatment applications (subject to temperature). A mag drive pump is also best option to keep plant and fingers clean !

I've got good results with Halar coatings for this application.
