Discolouration of Olive Passivation

Dears,

I am doing the zinc plating with all passivations. Recently I am facing the disclouration of olive passivation only. This problem starts after a day or two. Please suggest the possible reasons and solution on the problem.

Hello.

First clear that what you meant by discolouration.

Well in my view if you are maintaining the chloride content too high it might lead to deposition of the olive green pass. to little bit slower.
Also for good results heat the pass. at about 28--32 degrees c.
After Passivation bake it for 15--20 mins. at about 35--40 degrees c.

Hope it works.
