Fastener Finish Selection Criteria

I am in the process of compiling a fastener selection guide for my design team. I would like to know where I can get information regarding the proper use of fasteners.

For example can we use galvanized nut on SS bolts? This is an accepted practice in our industry to avoid galling issues (SS nuts on SS bolts). Most of our assemblies are exposed to moisture by water spray.
