Touch-up of Black Oxide

Is there a touch-up for Black Oxide per MIL-DTL-13924 [on DLA]?

Pat,

Have you forgotten how to pick up the phone? I guess this finishing.com thing has gotten too good at solving finishing issues - it's easier than calling one of your long time suppliers. Any way, I'm not aware of any permissible touch-up for mil spec black oxide, however, there are certainly a whole host of room temperature blackening solutions, many of them selenium based, which could be tried. I'm guessing you have an assembly that subjecting to 280 °F boiling alkaline salts would be a concern. You know my number!
