Artist asks how to do Staining on Copper
I have seen copper pieces , art work, that look as if they are stained, not painted. Almost like an acid Stain or a burning Swirl. Does any one know how to achieve this effect?

Hi, Joe. You correctly answered your own question. These stains can be done chemically (patinating) or with heat. letter 2662 includes several photos of heat stained art and I think you'll find the discussion helpful. Good luck.
