Need a process to Plate 409 Stainless Steel without a Nickel Strike?

Need a plating process to Nickel Chrome Plate on 409 Stainless Steel without using a Nickel Strike. Any help would be great.

William, you say you want to nickel plate, and you want to know what process to use, but you don't want to nickel strike. There may be something that is clear to you that you haven't told us because I can't make any sense out of it!

It's like you're asking what adjustment you should make to a nickel plating bath so it will adhere to stainless, but you want to be sure you don't make the right one :-)

Maybe you're asking how to nickel-chrome plate on stainless steel with only one nickel stage available? (I don't think it's going to work because I don't think you'll get striking and good leveling out of a single bath). But let's see what others have to say.
