AMS 2477: C. B. Smith Analyzer for Chem Film Surface Resistance Testing
Q. I have a surface resistance testing (AMS2477) device manufactured by C.B.Smith of Placerville, CA. This company appears to be no longer in existence. The appearance of the equipment would indicate that it is many years old (>20 years?) The unit(s) have been mothballed for some time but were (I believe) originally used for doing surface resistance measurements to confirm cleanliness for spotwelding aluminum. It appears that it utilizes the Kelvin bridge described in MIL-DTL-81706
[on DLA]
.
We have an internal calibration document still on file that details the calibration of the unit but can find no manual/operating instructions. I am reasonably comfortable that the unit's probes can be adapted to duplicate the measurement detailed in MIL-DTL-81706 and the instrument would be ideally suited for this purpose.
We have no operating manual or other technical document to describe proper operation of this instrument. Does anyone have or know where to get a copy of the manual for this device?

Q. Has anyone found a Users/owners manual for the 1C-1?
I have one of these units, and we would like to use it, but lack the supporting documentation needed to run it.
Thanks

Q. I have the same C.B. Smith Analyzer. Trying to bring it out of mothballs for a job we are running. There was mention of a calibration procedure. If someone could provide or post the steps, it would be greatly appreciated.
