Matte sandblasting finish

We manufacture fibreglass interior panels for railways . we source metal parts which are aesthetic in nature like grab handles and hatches . our customer has asked for matte sand blasting finish on this metal parts . We have also a small sample of this part but we are not clear about the process . the finish is not dull but is actually bright and shiny contrary to regular sand blasting . we want to know of some processing which will give this finish , we even suspect that this is some sort of coating / painting , but are not sure .
can anyone suggest something.

First of two simultaneous responses --

Dear Amit,

It sounds like a powder coating finish. We have just started to get a few more orders for our "Shot Blast Aluminium" powder. It simulates shot blasting but as you describe is much brighter in colour. Maybe you can obtain it locally.

The finish you described is what can be achieved using a dry organic/abrasive media in a mass finishing machine system. There maybe other methods or processes, but this media will produce that finish.
