Rust Remover on Chrome/ Stainless Steel in Bath/ Kitchen

Can you please advise me how to remove or clean rust off my chrome or stainless steel shower soap dish, shower neck in both bathroom and kitchen? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Try citric acid this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] solution(5%,you can thicken it with edible starch, after 1- 2 hours you can remove it with plenty of water) or WD 40 or Balistol(proprietary oil based rust removers). Hope it helps and good luck!

If the pretty sound suggestions advanced so far don't work, try a bit of oxalic acid this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] . Wear gloves (it's a bit toxic) but it does a nice job on rust stains.

When I sold chemicals for a living, I'd sell sacks of it to boatyards, for removing iron stains from sails that had gotten mixed up with iron hardware on peoples boats.
