How to remove Molykote coatings after their polymerization?
2007
We use to coat fasteners with different Molykote (321R, 106, 3400,
3400 LF, 3402) that we have to polymerize 170°C - 1h. I wonder if someone knows a solution to strip these coatings without affecting substrate (steel, titanium, inox).
Thanks a lot by advance.

I have in the past used a 20% Chromic acid solution at approximately 70C, have been able to leave most coatings intact and not affected base material. As a precaution all steels above 1100MPa should be de-embrittled after stripping.
