Need to waterproof my chrome table and chairs
I need to waterproof the chrome legs on my fifties table and chair set so I can use it on my covered front porch. It will be out of direct rain but will still get moisture just from being outside. Do you know of any product I can use to keep it from rusting?

You needn't waterproof a chrome truck bumper -- chrome plating can be that good. But chrome plating that is designed for interior use, as in a kitchen table, won't be that good. I think your best bet is regular waxing.

Hi there Mika,
I have a product called Sharkhide
⇦ this on
eBay
or
Amazon [affil links] metal protectant. We currently use it on all types of metals as well as to protect chrome finishes like yours. It's a single step, wipe on chemical that will dry in sixty to ninety seconds. You will want to simply wipe a new coat over the old one once every couple of years to maintain the protection.
Good luck,
