Manganese-phosphate coatings and their effect on electrical conductivity.
Does anyone have knowledge or information on the effects of Manganese-Phosphate coating on the electrical conductivity (specifically the insulating effect, if any)of a case hardened steel surface. Does the phosphating increase or decrease the possibility or intensity of damage caused by the discharge of electric currents at an interface.
Problem - bearings being damaged by electric discharge.
I am not interested in grounding techniques, just the effects of phosphating.
Many thanks.

Hi Ray,
I don't have an answer for you but I am interested in Mn phosphate coatings also and I live in the Toronto vicinity.
