Copper plated foam cathodes are sold as part of "Retec" electrolytic treatment units. I believe they are now owned by US Filter.

Hi Joel,
Most platers out there use a resin exchange column to recover gold from drag-out solutions. There are other ways to do it, but many are ineffective compared to resins. A reputable precious metal / equipment supplier can set you up with a unit. This website has such advertisers and contributors. Good Luck!
