Anticorrosive, ductile and conductive metal plating on aluminium?

Do you know anticorrosion, ductile and conductive metal plating on aluminium? I have already tried chemical electroless nickel that is a too hard metal to the cold working after plating. And nickel electroplating is not homogenous enough. Do you think it's possible to use magnesium plating on aluminium instead of nickel? I see that Magnesium is anodic with aluminium.

Is there other solutions?

Magnesium is not an electroplateable material, Aurelien. Nickel electroplating can usually give a consistent enough thickness to be usable, but we don't know anything about your parts or your application or what conditions were extant when the thickness variation was too great for you.

Tin-zinc electroplating is relatively ductile, cadmium plating is quite ductile, silver or gold electroplating are ductile.

You won't get a good answer until you think about the situation deeply enough to pose a careful question. Good luck!

Copper is ductile, conductive and corrosion resistant though it tarnishes in various environments. It can be electroplated on aluminum and top coated with a more tarnishing resistant metal if needed. G. Marrufo-Mexico
