Need wear resistant coating on aluminum positioning bosses
I have two positioning bosses machined into an aluminum mount that I am holding to 0.0002 tolerance. I would like to apply a finish to the mount that can work wth the feature tolerance of the bosses and supply some amount of wear resistance on the bosses.
Any suggestions?

Two things come to mind. Electroless nickel or a PVD coating like titanium nitride.
